Resin grinding wheels are grinding wheels made of resin, such as phenolic, epoxy, polyurethane, polyvinyl alcohol, etc; Resin grinding wheels have high strength and are used in cutting blades, double end faces, heavy-duty grinding wheels, polishing wheels, etc. They have certain elasticity, low heat resistance, good self sharpening, simple production, and short process cycles. Widely used for rough grinding, rough grinding, cutting and free grinding, such as grinding steel ingots and deburring castings. No matter what equipment, reasonable maintenance methods can maintain its accuracy and extend its service life. Below, we will introduce how to clean and inspect resin grinding wheels for our understanding.

1) Cleaning requirements

During the production process, diamond grinding wheels should be used to polish the belt. Generally, the grinding wheel needs to be removed and cleaned after 5-7 days of operation. There are polished rubber fragments on top, which tightly adhere to the gold after high-temperature conflicts? The surface of corundum is difficult to clean. Although soaking in acetone for 2 hours and then cleaning with imported cleaning agent has good results and fast speed, it is not environmentally friendly. Therefore, generally cleaning the rubber shavings on the grinding wheel requires:

1. Cleaning agents should be environmentally friendly, free of ketones and should not be halogenated hydrocarbons. Good is physical cleaning;

2. Do not harm the diamond grinding wheel.

2) Viewing Matters

It is necessary to carefully inspect and distinguish the grinding wheel before installing it.

1. Check if the grade of the grinding wheel is correct and meets the performance, shape, and size of all selected grinding wheels.

2. Check and identify the appearance and structural condition of the grinding wheel. Observe the appearance of the grinding wheel with your eyes for damage (or cracks). Grinding wheels with appearance damage (or cracks) cannot be used. Additionally, it is required that both ends of the grinding wheel be flat and free from significant tilting.

3. Check and identify internal cracks in the grinding wheel. Holding the grinding wheel with your hand and gently tapping the grinding wheel with a wooden hammer to listen to its sound, the grinding wheel without cracks makes a loud sound, while the grinding wheel with cracks makes a hoarse sound, which cannot be used.
